The brushed wool is genuinely soft, no itch at all against bare arms. I've been wearing it open with jeans, but the self belt actually makes it work over a dress too.

I wore this with the self belt cinched over a dress and got three compliments before lunch. The wool is breathable enough that I didn't overheat indoors, which surprised me for something this warm. Knowing it was spun and sewn in France makes the price feel a lot more reasonable.

The brushed wool is unbelievably soft, no itch at all even over a thin tee. The self belt actually stays tied instead of slipping loose, which never happens with my other wool coats. Wearing it with the collar popped all week.
